Referee Recertification
Recertification Process

Only refs with badges 2011-2013 are able to re-certify now. If your badge has lapsed for greater than two years you must take a new ref clinic again. If you are a new ref from this year, you earned your 2014 year badge therefore you don't need to worry about this until next year.

In the state of Washington All Grade 8 & 7 refs are required to complete 5 hours of Continuing Education (CE) and pass the online test and pay your renewal fees in order to recertify each year. Two of those CE hours must be in- person and 3 CE hours are completed on line. Test is online.

All Grade 9 refs simply need to pass the test online and pay their renewal fees.

You can register for "chapter meetings or hybrid clinics" (they are the same thing in Vancouver) and those will count for 1 hour. The local chapter meetings for the remainder of this year are Oct 14th , Nov 11th (this is our first ever "Referee Faux Pas Contest" night) and Dec 10th at St. Paul Church Franklin St & 13th Ave (basement) Vancouver, WA 98661 If you attended our Pizza Night on Sept 9th you earned 1 hours and only need to attend one more meeting. Register for these CE recertification opportunities on wareferees.org [insert WA hyperlink] "Instruction" > "Clinic Schedule" > under type select "existing ref wishing to reertify" >under clinic area leave it at "all" or narrow the scope by selecting "Area 05 - SW Washington"

Additionally Jill Derry will be offering a "2 hour recert meeting" details TBD

Re-certification processes vary by state - refer to Oregon Referee for their state renewal requirements.

Game Assingments
Pacific SC uses Oregon Soccer Central for it's game assignment software. OSC has many advantages for both the referee and the club. Referee has the ability to see games from all clubs that he/she has been added to. Some referees want to see many games and are attached to many clubs while some will just have a couple of clubs to officiate for. Submitting a request to be added to a club is quick and easy. For soccer clubs, it is a huge advantage having many referees looking at their games each weekend. Pacific SC uses the self assignment method which means you can log into your account periodically and see what new games have been added and "self-assign" to games you want. OSC is free to the officials that use it. You can look at our pay scale or that of any other organization right from the homepage. Each age pays differently so be sure to check out the age you are interested in. Create your member account now at Oregon Soccer Central
